Lady Bowmen keep rolling with victory at Cleveland


The Tigard and Tualatin girls also get wins Tuesday

PORTLAND — The Sherwood High School girls soccer team keeps right on rolling.

The Lady Bowmen moved to 4-0-1 on the season by scoring a 5-0 win over Cleveland in a non-league match played Tuesday at Cleveland.

Sherwood scored all five of its goals in the first half of Tuesday’s match.

Sophomore forward Sarah Garoutte had a pair of goals and an assist in the win. Senior Jessica Imbrie, senior Tear’sa Krieger and junior Courtney Wunnicke each had a goal. Imbrie, senior Meghan Schoen and Krieger all had an assist.

Prior to the win over Cleveland, the Lady Bowmen bested Wilson 3-1 in a non-league match played last Thursday at Wilson High School.

Schoen had two goals in that win. Freshman Alli Schwarm scored the other goal, coming off a corner kick by senior Mikayla Howes.

The Lady Bowmen will be back in action Tuesday when they play at Glencoe in a non-league match starting at 7 p.m.

The Tigard girls soccer team moved to 4-0 on the season by posting a 2-1 home win over Rex Putnam in a non-league match played Tuesday.

The Tigers play at Lincoln today (Thursday) at 4 p.m.

Tualatin scored a 5-0 win at Hood River Valley on Tuesday to improve to 3-1-1 on the season. The Timberwolves also posted a 2-0 non-league win over Jesuit last Thursday at Tualatin High School.

The Wolves will host Corvallis tonight in a non-league match starting at 7 p.m.
