Here's a preliminary agenda for President Bush's visit to Portland on Saturday. The schedule and locations may change.

• Midday: Bush arrives on Air Force One at Oregon Air National Guard base from Southern California. He'll be met by Portland firefighters and local Red Cross volunteers who went to New York City to help after Sept. 11.

• Motorcade to Northeast One Stop Career Center, part of the Portland Community College Workforce Network, on Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Bush will meet with workers participating in programs to update their workplace skills.

• Motorcade to Parkrose High School for a speech to an invited audience of about 2,000. Bush is expected to talk about his economic stimulus proposals and the war on terrorism. Miss America Katie Harman will sing.

Motorcade returns to National Guard base.
