SEE IT DO IT
OPERA / Vino e voce
5 p.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, The Paramount Hotel
It's wine, women (some men, too) and song as the Portland Opera and several vendors of food and wine get together for an event that pairs singers' voices with the wine that best describes them. There'll be free wine and appetizers between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., with singing between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

ART / 'Artists Reflect'
5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, Talisman Gallery
Decorate your house, and help someone else to have a home at the same time. Talisman Gallery kicks off its February exhibit with a silent auction to benefit Habitat for Humanity in Portland. The work of 16 artists is up for bid, including photographs, watercolors and acrylics.

MUSIC / Modest Mouse
9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, Crystal Ballroom
Last time these indie darlings broke out their tight arrangements and weirdo slide show in Portland, the place was packed to the gills two nights in a row. With only one show on the bill this time, fans had better get their tickets now.
