''Densification,' Metro's mantra du jour for the process of human compaction under way in Metzger and other urban areas, need not be the polarizing event it is in our state's political arena. You see, it's all very simple once you think about it.

' ... All Metro has to do is pass a fiat restricting the size of people. What a boon to the urban planner! Metro could limit people to a maximum height of, say, 5-foot-5 and 135 pounds. More of us could be packed into high-rises near Washington Square, autos, buses, parks, jobs and public arenas. Not only that, but we would eat less, drink less, breathe less, consume less and excrete less. How politically correct!'
