Participating in what they call 'The Mother of All Relays', the 30th annual Hood to Coast Relay Race sent 15,000 runners - and their backup teams - through Southeast Portland via the Springwater Trail on August 26 and 27.

The runners were roughly at the midpoint of their 200 mile journey from Mt. Hood to Seaside.

'I live about a quarter mile west of here,' Pulley comments.
