Harkness Haunted House

Groove ensemble Funk Shui hosts Laurelthirst's gender-bending tribute to All Hallow's Eve. The staff leads the cross-dressing charge and encourages guests to follow suit.

The Scarecrow Show

If the guy sitting next to you at the Red & Black isn't too chatty, he may have straw for brains. The cafe has rounded out their customer base with life-sized scarecrow sculptures created by local artists. A costume party with the artists will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.
