Market manager resigns to take new job in Portland

Adelante Mujeres will begin search for replacement

After six years as manager of the Forest Grove Farmers Market, Gina Bell has resigned and announced she accepted a position with the Portland Development Commission.

Her last day with Adelante Mujeres, the Forest Grove nonprofit that sponsors the market, was Sept. 1.

'This change in no way reflects my commitment to the mission of Adelante Mujeres,' Bell wrote in a press release last week. 'During this period of transition Adelante Mujeres' staff and volunteers will work together to continue operations at the high quality level that is expected.'

Jesse Nichols, Adelante Mujeres' former AmeriCorps volunteer, has taken over management of the market for the remainder of the season. He can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by phone at 503-992-0078, Ext. 205.

The market runs each Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. on Main Street.

The search for a new market manager will begin soon, Bell said.
