Oregon Tradeswomen is holding its 11th annual Women in Trades Fair at Local 290 Plumbers and Steamfitters Training Center, 20220 S.W. Teton Ave., in Tualatin.
The fair, which began Thursday and continues through Saturday, includes workshops, demonstrations, speakers and a fashion show featuring tradeswomen modeling work wear.
More than 1,200 women and girls attended last year's fair.
Saturday's events are open to the public. In addition to exhibits and workshops, representatives from leading employers of Oregon tradeswomen will be available, including Portland General Electric Co., Boeing Co., the Bonneville Power Administration and Hoffman Construction Co.
Those interested in careers in the trades can learn about training and apprenticeship programs on-site, including employer-sponsored apprenticeships with TriMet, the Oregon Department of Transportation and other organizations.
Admission, parking and child care are free.
