Crisis Response Team
What: A group of 55 volunteers, led by pastors, which offers support for people who have lost family members in accidents or crimes. The group is multiethnic, with Latino, black, Asian-American and white volunteers, and includes members of sexual minorities.
Where: The team covers the city of Portland.
When: 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each unit of three is on call one week per month.
