Portlander Corky Miller recently traveled to Havana as part of a cultural exchange program. He had only three hours to wander the city by himself, but he put his camera to good use. Aalto Lounge displays Miller's resulting 35 mm and digital photos and will host an artist reception from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 5.

Broadway Rose kicks off its summer season with a Broadway classic. The 1961 musical won a Pulitzer Prize for drama and a Tony Award for best musical. Professional actors from New York were recruited to play the leads in the story of an ambitious young businessman and his faithful gal-pal.

The wedding season is in full swing, and it's hard to imagine a time before Vera Wang and the sleek silhouettes of today's brides. Plenty of bustles, bows and exquisite craftsmanship are on display at this exhibit created by local vintage clothing collectors Rose and Wilma Prihar.

MUSIC / The Countrypolitans

The Countrypolitans' combination of a down-home sensibility and addictive melodies charmed Portland in the late '90s. Then the band split for Southern California. The hometown favorites are back for a visit before setting to work on a new CD.
