Stoudamire enters drug rehab program
Trail Blazer guard Damon Stoudamire met with former NBA player and coach John Lucas on Thursday in Houston to assess his needs in relation to the NBA's drug treatment policies, according to a source close to the Blazers.
As the Tribune reported July 11, Stoudamire decided to voluntarily enter a rehabilitation program. He entered Lucas' 'Next Step' program after his third arrest for marijuana possession in 17 months earlier this month in Tucson, Ariz.
The assessment will determine whether Stoudamire will be involved as an inpatient or outpatient, the source said.
