Junior linebacker Kiko Alonso has been reinstated to the University of Oregon football program, according to the Ducks oach Chip Kelly Friday.
Alonso has been suspended from the school's football program since May after incurring alcohol-related charges associated with an off-campus party.
The former Los Gatos, Calif., prep standout has accumulated 13 career solo tackles as a collegian and last played in a game for the Ducks in 2009. He missed all of last year with a season-ending injury while serving a one-year suspension for a separate alcohol-related offense, while also going through knee surgery and rehabilitation.
There hasn't been an announcement, yet, about suspended cornerback Cliff Harris.
The Ducks (0-1) play Nevada at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Autzen Stadium.
