Thanks to the Oregon Ducks, the Vikings aren't the state's most disappointing football team, but PSU is close after its 30-20 loss at Idaho State. The Vikings made strides by giving up just one turnover, throwing for 308 yards and kicking two field goals. But the defense gave up 475 yards, and the offense had the ball for just 25 minutes. PSU ran for only 47 yards, and Idaho State had twice as many first downs, (24-12). The Vikings need a win this week at PGE Park to stir up some interest in their season finale, Nov. 15 at home against Montana State.
A pair of wins would secure a winning season, which would be the team's fifth straight.
THE PICK: Wildcats 31, Vikings 17
