Car-truck collision occurred early Sunday morning at uncontrolled Happy Valley intersection
Three people were injured, including a teenaged driver, who was taken by Life Flight to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital after a car and truck collided early Sunday morning near Clackamas High School.
Officials said Clackamas Fire personnel had to use the 'Jaws of Life' to free the 17-year-old, who was trapped in a 'mangled ball of metal' before Life Flight could fly him to OHSU for treatment.
The T-bone collision took place at an uncontrolled intersection on S.E. 122nd Avenue and S.E. Grand Vista in Happy Valley. One vehicle was a passenger car, which officials said was destroyed by the impact, and the other a full-size truck. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office are still investigating the cause of the crash.
