One northbound lane of Interstate 205 near Gladstone was briefly closed late Saturday afternoon after a pickup truck caught fire.

Oregon State Police Trooper Ted Moisan said the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup, a 36-year-old man, was northbound on I-205 near milepost 11 at about 5:20 p.m. when he noticed other motorists trying to get his attention. Seeing flames coming from the back of his truck, he pulled over and, with the help of other motorists who stopped, unsuccessfully tried to put out the fire.
