LWV of Clackamas County launches online voter education tool VOTE411.org

Online candidate guide available for multiple offices

The League of Women Voters of Clackamas County has launched the nonpartisan election resource VOTE411.org.

This “one-stop-shop” for election information provides simple tools to help Oregon voters navigate the voting process this November. VOTE411.org provides candidate information, voter registration tools, polling place locations and other helpful election day information.

Detailed candidate information, including candidates’ responses to questions, is available for the presidential candidates as well as candidates for Clackamas County Board of Commissioners and for various state elected offices, among others. Users can visit VOTE411.org and enter their address to find information from the candidates they will see on their ballot.

VOTE411.org also provides unbiased explanations of each of the nine state ballot measures. In addition, the league has scheduled various meetings around the county to present unbiased ballot measure information.

Nationally, in 2008, approximately 20 million voters found the information they needed through VOTE411.org, many of them young people and first-time voters.
