Firefighters fill the boot
Firefighters will be on the streets collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Sept. 16
Forest Grove Fire and Rescue will take to the streets of Forest Grove Friday, Sept. 16. But the men and women of the fire service won't be beating the pavement to stamp out fires, but instead to stamp out muscular dystrophy.
Firefighters will be on the streets collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This annual fundraiser helps combat a group of crippling muscle diseases.
On Aug. 26 and 27, Cornelius firefighters raised over $11,000, double the amount raised the previous year in their fundraiser.
Forest Grove firefighters will be on Pacific Avenue, near its intersection with Maple Street, from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
