MetLife of Lake Oswego announced that Elyssa Baltazar has joined The Financial Planning Division, an office of MetLife, as a managing director.

Baltazar is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania —Wharton School Executive Education program — and attended the University of South Florida College of Business Administration. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and has worked in the financial services industry for 27 years.

Waggener Edstrom receives volunteer award

Lake Oswego’s Waggener Edstrom received a regional award for Outstanding Business Volunteer Program at the 2012 Governor’s Volunteer Awards luncheon on Nov. 9. The awards honor ordinary Oregonians who do extraordinary things and also inspire and motivate future volunteerism.

In 2011, Waggener Edstrom partnered with various nonprofit organizations and donated more than 2,500 hours of volunteer service during work time.

Johnson named BoA small-business banker

Bank of America announced that Douglas Johnson was appointed Small-Business Banker for the Lake Oswego, King City, Tualatin and Tigard areas.

Johnson is one of about 1,000 small-business bankers hired by Bank of America across the country to support small businesses.

Johnson consults with small-business owners and assesses their companies’ deposit, credit and cash management needs. Johnson has been with Bank of America since 2002 and brings 10 years experience working with small businesses. He resides in Tualatin and is an active volunteer with the Oregon Food Bank.

Stafford Hills Club opens on Nyberg Lane

Stafford Hills Club, a full-service fitness and wellness center, will be open and in full operation at the end of November in Tualatin. Founder Jim Zupancic is from Lake Oswego.

Dr. Kaley Bourgeois has joined Restorative Health Clinic in Lake Oswego.

Bourgeois is a naturopathic physician who offers primary care and integrative medicine, with a strong focus on women’s health and fertility, hormone balancing, weight loss, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, acute and chronic infections, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndromes and digestive health.
