Gresham CROP Hunger Walk for Church World Service - 1:30 p.m., downtown Gresham. Held rain or shine, this 3.3-mile walk raises money for Zarephath Ministries' kitchen and pantry. Bike Commuting 101 Workshop - Noon to 1 p.m., Gresham City Hall, Barlow Trail Room, 1333 N.W. Eastman Parkway. The workshop will be led by Bicycle Transportation Alliance staff and volunteers, and topics will include information on safe and legal riding; foul-weather riding; lights and rain gear; how to carry clothes, groceries and kids; dealing with helmet hair; and route-planning and maps. These presentations will be followed by a question and answer session, and an opportunity for you to receive one-on-one route-planning assistance from experienced bicycle commuters. Refreshments will be provided; feel free to bring a sack lunch.

Midweek Walk - 12:05 p.m., Gresham City Hall plaza, 1333 N.W. Eastman Parkway. Make sure you have comfortable shoes and a bottle of water. These walks cover a couple of miles at a brisk pace suitable for business attire. Walks will take 40 to 50 minutes and will return to the same starting location.
