Proceeds will help provide programs for local youths
The AntFarm in Sandy is having a benefit dinner. The spaghetti dinner is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19, at Stephanie's Cafe, 39400 Proctor Blvd.
All proceeds of the benefit dinner will assist AntFarm, a youth and family service, in its efforts to provide activities that help youths develop job skills, healthy lifestyles and stay in school.
'We want to support the youths and help them make healthy choices, stay off alcohol and drugs and learn how to be respectful,' said Nunpa, AntFarm's executive director.
Proceeds of the fundraising dinner, Nunpa said, will be used to help complete additions to the learning center and pay for AntFarm programs.
During this past summer, AntFarm youths planted, cared for and harvested a garden of vegetables for people served through the Sandy Community Action Center.
