The Women of Meridian Park (WOMP) will hold its annual fundraising luncheon on Oct. 13. Members of WOMP come together to support the programs and services Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center provides to the south metropolitan community, particularly programs that benefit women and children.

Each year the women select projects to fund that will enhance the care provided by the hospital. The projects for 2011 include an electrocardiogram machine, mammograms for underserved women and women's wellness education events.

'Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center offers an array of programs and services to our community many may not be aware of,' said Cheryl Dotten, chairwoman of WOMP. 'I invite women in our community to learn about how you can become involved in the great work of Legacy Health.'

The 2011 Women of Meridian Park luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at The Foundry at Oswego Pointe in Lake Oswego. Guests are asked to make a minimum $150 donation in support of this year's projects.
