Six staff members from the city of West Linn are participating in the Bike Commute Challenge this month, from the left are: Chris Kerr, Kathy Mullusky, Zach Pelz and Kathy Aha; not shown are Peter Spir and Pat Rich. The team logged 230 miles during their 'warm-up' month in August. That warm-up period displaced 225 pounds of carbon dioxide. Two weeks into the challenge, the team made 20 trips and traveled 218 miles, achieving a higher commute rate than the city teams in Lake Oswego, Tigard and Tualatin.
