Portland police officer placed on leave following charges in Tillamook County
Sean Sothern charged with DUII and reckless endangerment
A Portland police officer has been placed on leave after being charged with numerous crimes in Tillamook County.
Sean Sothern has been charged with felony attempt to elude, driving while intoxicated and two counts of reckless endangerment.
The charges stem from an Aug, 18 incident when Sothern attempted to escape a Tillamook County sheriff's deputy by pulling his vehicle into a mobile home park.
Sothern, a 11-year veteran of the Portland Police Bureau, had been assigned to the telephone reporting unit. An internal investigation is under way.
