Birding Along the Gresham-Fairview Trail - 9 to 11 a.m., Linnemann Station Trailhead on Springwater Trail, Powell Boulevard and 190th Avenue. Join the Audubon Society of Portland's Bob Sallinger and Bich Trinh and the city of Gresham's Laura Guderyahn for a morning bird walk along segments of the Gresham-Fairview Trail in west Gresham. 'Make That Picture, Just Don't Take It' Photography Workshop - 9 a.m. to noon, East Portland Community Center, 740 S.E. 106th Ave., Portland. Professional photographer Michel Hersen will help participants hone their skills and learn to take great pictures in this two-session workshop (the second session will be held Nov. 12). Participants can submit their photos to the Fall Forest Photo Show, with proceeds going to help prevent Dutch elm disease. The cost is $27.
