The following incidents were reported on the Madras Police Department incident log. Oct. 8 A Madras man had prescription medication stolen out of his car while it was parked at Bi-Mart. Oct. 9 Madras Coffee Company was burglarized, with entry gained through the drive-up window. Funds of $125 were stolen. A 1978 white Ford pickup was reported stolen by a Madras woman. Oct. 10 A man reported his pickup was broken into while parked at Mountain View Hospital. Another man reported his car was broken into while parked at the hospital. Artemio Dias-Avila was arrested for identity theft, and first-degree forgery while trying to get an I.D. card at the Department of Motor Vehicles under a false name. A Madras woman said her purse was stolen out of her car while parked at Les Schwab. Another woman parked at Hatfield's Department Store had her purse stolen out of her car. Oct. 11 Officers are looking for a man who was alleged to have assaulted another man near a Madras apartment complex. Oct. 12 Details Plus business had over $400 stolen. The owner of the Meet Market told police about a customer who wrote seven bad checks totaling $556, and another customer who wrote a bad check for $23. Oct. 13 Eliseo Castro was arrested for a restraining order violation. A man told officers someone stole 80 to 85 gallons of gasoline out of his motorhome that was parked in front of his residence. Officers were called to the hospital in connection with a stabbing incident. Oct. 14 In a burglary at Mike and Jacks Gas, $200 was taken. On SW H Street, someone gained entry through a locked back door and stole 23 videos. Golden City Restaurant reported burglars attempted to open its safe. The safe was damaged, but no money was taken. A Madras woman said someone shot her car with an air gun while she was driving. She saw two young males at the scene. Oct. 15 The back door was broken in at Great Earth Natural Foods, but nothing was stolen. Oct. 16 Rudy Gonzalez was cited for a restraining order violation. Oct. 17 In an accident in the south Madras area, Jose Efrain Eriza was cited for driving without a license, following too closely; and Alicia Solorzano was cited for driving without a license. Beverly Jefferson was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), and having an open container of alcohol.
