Two Madras residents arrested in meth bust
Two Madras residents Friday were arrested on drug charges after Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) team officers executed a search warrant at 319 NE 6th St. in Madras.
Ollie Starnes, 21, and Elizabeth Pace, whose age was not reported, were both arrested on the scene. A child, estimated at 20 months old, was taken from the scene for protective custody.
Starnes was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, and three counts each of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. He was also charged with frequenting a place where controlled substances are used.
Starnes was also charged with theft by receiving stolen goods, first-degree child neglect and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Pace was charged with one count each of possession, delivery and manufacture of a controlled substance, plus first-degree child neglect and endangering the welfare of minor.
A representative of the CODE team said the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected. Starnes and Pace were lodged in the county jail, and were expected to be arraigned on the charges Monday.
