Culver gridder honored

Cloud claims 2A second-team all-state status

   Culver High senior Jeff Cloud collected yet more acclaim for his efforts in helping the Bulldogs make the 2A state playoffs in football this fall.
   Cloud was selected to the second-team all-state 2A team on both offense and defense, as an offensive lineman and defensive linebacker. He is now playing basketball for Culver.
   State finalists Amity and Regis walked off with the top honors among the honorees. Clint Groom of Amity landed the Defensive Player of the Year award and Jeff Flood of Amity was picked Coach of the Year. Regis quarterback Travis Lulay was selected the Offensive Player of the Year. He led the Rams over Culver and Cloud in the first round of the state playoffs.
