Culver's Cloud chosen to play in Shrine football game
Will be part of 30 man East Squad
Culver's Jeff Cloud is among the 30 players recently chosen to represent their high schools as preliminary starters in the Oregon East-West Shrine Football Game in Baker City this August. A group of three coaches, one each from the 3A, 2A and 1A level chose the representatives for both the West and East teams.
Cloud, listed at 5-11 and 210 pounds on the Shire roster, was an all-state selection in 2A football in Oregon and is now contributing to the Culver boys basketball team.
He will be part of a squad including 14 3A level players, 11 2A players and four 1A players, according to the roster of the Shriners'. Cloud is listed as an offensive lineman but was quick enough to earn assignments at linebacker in the Culver defense during the regular season.
The senior is presently shoring up the inside for Culver's basketball team and has an older brother in college football.
