Tualatin girls remain unbeaten

The Tualatin High School girls soccer team stayed perfect on the 2011 season by scoring a 7-0 vic-tory over Forest Grove in a Pacific Conference match played Tuesday at Forest Grove High School.

The Timberwolves improved to 6-0 in league play with the victory.

Tualatin, which got five goals from senior Anna-Marie Popma in the victory at Forest Grove, has now outscored its opponents by a 27-0 margin on the season.

The Wolves will be back in ac-tion tonight (Thursday) when they host Century at 7 p.m.

The Tigard girls improved to 3-1-2 in league play by scoring a 2-0 victory over Newberg in a match played Tuesday at the Austin Ath-letic Complex at George Fox Uni-versity.

The Tigers will play at Hillsboro today at 5 p.m.

The Tualatin boys picked up a 2-0 home win over Forest Grove on Tuesday to move to 4-1-1 in league play, keeping the Wolves tied with Hillsboro for second place in the league standings. Tualatin will play Century tonight at 7 p.m. at the 53rd ave. fields in Hillsboro.

The Tigard boys kept pace with Tualatin by posting a 4-0 home win over Newberg on Tuesday. The victory events Tigard's league record at 3-3. Tigard will be home tonight to face Hillsboro at 7 p.m.

The Sherwood boys fell to 2-2-1 on the season with a 3-1 loss to Corvallis in a non-league match played Tuesday at Sherwood High School. The Bowmen will play at West Albany today at 4 p.m.
