Tigard keeps on winning
HILLSBORO - The Tigard High School volleyball team closed out the first half of Pacific Conference play by scoring a 25-10, 25-10, 25-13 win over Hillsboro in a league match played Tuesday at Hillsboro High School.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 6-1 in league play, putting them one match behind first-place Century in the standings.
Tigard will get the chance to move into a tie for first place when it faces the Jaguars tonight (Thursday) in a league showdown set to start at 6:45 p.m. at Century High School.
Tualatin finished the first half of league play at 5-2 after it fell 25-21, 25-23, 25-20 to Century in a match played Tuesday at Tualatin High School.
The Timberwolves will host Hillsboro tonight in a league match starting at 6:45 p.m.
The Horizon Christian volleyball team scored back-to-back wins in West Valley League play, besting Dayton last Thursday and then downing Amity on Tuesday. The two wins puts the Hawks at 2-4 in WVL play, leaving them in a four-way tied for fourth place in the standings.
Horizon Christian plays at Dayton today.
