King City seeks volunteer to fill empty council seat
The city of King City is seeking residents to apply for an open seat on the City Council.
There has been a vacancy since a former councilor resigned, and City Manager Dave Wells is actively looking for people to apply. Applicants must have lived in King City for at least the past six months and have an interest in community service.
The City Council usually meets twice a month, on the first and third Wednesday, and some councilors also act as liaisons to various boards and commissions in the area.
In addition, council members serve on the city's Budget Committee, which meets in late spring every year, and occasionally are asked to be involved in other activities.
Application forms can be picked up at City Hall, which is open Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and noon, and 1 to 5 p.m.
