Two shot playing pool at Northeast bar
Update: Police identify victims
Two people were shot while playing pool in a Northeast Portland bar just after midnight Saturday.
Lance Elliott Lewis, 30, and Tracy Lee Horsley II, 22, were treated for non-life threatening wounds. Police say they are not cooperating with the invesigation.
According to police, East Precinct officers respond to a report of multiple shots fired in the area of Northeast 79th and Glisan at 12:05 a.m. When the arrived, the officers noticed the Peoples Bar and Grill at 7901 N.E. Glisan St. had been struck numerous times by gunfire, breaking the front windows. A car parked on 79th south of Glisan had also been damaged by gunfire.
Witnesses told police that two people were playing pool inside the bar when they were shot. They were taken to a hospital with apparent non-life threatening wounds before the officers arrived.
The Gang Enforcement Team was assigned to the investigation. Numerous shell casing have been recovered in the area. No suspect information was immediately released.
