To the Editor,
When my daughter, Jamasa Tello, asked me if I could help at the Youth Summitt at the fairgrounds a few weekends ago, I didn't realize what I was getting into. I knew she worked for a group called MACAT and that they were having some workshops for teens, and that she needed help with serving lunch. Words can't express just what a good program this was!
There were workshops concerning diversity, communication, and other social concerns. I have attended People Centered Teams, and maybe the best way I can express what this workshop was is to say it was like a mini People Centered Teams Workshop. Many hours of work and dedication went into this sucessful workshop, and I hope that I am invited to be a part of it next year. Hats off to this organization and to the teens that participated in the Youth Summit.
