Feral cat clinic to spay, neuter

April 23, 2003 — A Feral Cat Spay and Neuter Clinic will be held May 4 in Bend and is taking reservations for animals from Jefferson County.
The mobile spay/neuter unit is the closest one available to Jefferson County residents and is open to people who care for or feed feral and abandoned cats that are not a family pet or house cat.
Theses services are provided for a $20 suggested donation per cat and reservations are required. To make a reservation, call 389-9063 or 382-4328.
The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon is a nonprofit group of veterinarians and volunteers dedicated to humanely reducing feral cat populations by spaying and neutering. The Coalition has altered over 15,000 cats throughout Oregon in just seven years. The clinic needs volunteers to help with all aspects of the clinic. Vets, vet techs and lay volunteers can make a difference in the community by volunteering their time and skills.
