W.S. Museum marks 10 years


   The Museum at Warm Springs will be hosting a 10th anniversary celebration beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31.
   The day's festivities will include a memorial horse parade at 10 a.m., a museum blessing and rededication at 11 a.m., a salmon feast at noon and a pow wow at 2 p.m. The museum also will debut a new exhibit of book illustrations by Allan Houser.
   Admission to all the event festivities is free. The museum's exhibits will be offered at 2-for-1 rate Saturday only.
   The Museum at Warm Springs is Oregon's oldest tribal museum and houses one of the world's largest collections of Plateau Native American artifacts.
   It's mission the past 10 years has been to preserve, advance and share the knowledge of the cultural, traditional and artistic heritage of The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.
