Beaverton Arts Commission sponsors urban renewal forum
Voters' forum on tap for Oct. 24
Beaverton residents are invited to attend a forum on the city's urban renewal plan on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the first floor conference room of Beaverton City Hall, 4755 S.W. Griffith Drive.
Hosted by the Beaverton Arts Commission, the forum will provide another chance for voters to ask questions and learn more about the proposed Beaverton Urban Renewal Plan, which is up for voter consideration on the Nov. 8 ballot.
The forum will feature a panel discussing the background and various components of the plan, specifically how Beaverton's three development- and infrastructure-related initiatives - Community Vision, Civic Plan and Urban Renewal - are connected.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Public comment on urban renewal is also welcome at the Fall Voters' Forum on Monday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Beaverton City Library, 12375 S.W. Fifth St.
Documents related to urban renewal are available on the city's website or in the Community and Economic Development Department on the second floor of City Hall. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
