Chamber artist show in October
The Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce has found another artist to exhibit her work in the chamber office during October.
The scheduled artist, whose story appeared in the Sept. 28 Post, decided Oct. 3 not to exhibit his paintings.
Instead, Chamber Office Manager Karey Milne was able to locate a willing artist who would exhibit at the last minute.
Brandy Watson has hung examples of her photography in the chamber office, and they will remain there during October.
However, Watson cannot attend the usual artist reception during the First Friday event because of a prior commitment, but the chamber office will be open, with Watson's exhibit available for viewing.
Sandy biz-owner network grows
The Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce will have its monthly networking lunch at noon Wednesday, Oct. 12.
The 90-minute lunch will feature Oregon Trail School District Superintendent Aaron Bayer, who will speak to the group at the fire department annex, 17459 Bruns Ave., just west of the fire department.
