Barlow's running attack wears down Raiders

MHC FOOTBALL - Bruins go over 300 yards on the ground and make 10 trips to the end zone
by: Jim Clark Barlow tight end Cameron Pernich is tackled after making a grab during the Bruins 69-41 win over Reynolds on Friday night.

When Barlow and Reynolds met last season, both teams tore apart the end zones, combining for 111 points in a Barlow victory.

Friday's match up had the makings of similar offensive festivities with both teams piling up points through the first half of the 2011 season.

Barlow's offense rarely had trouble finding the end zone, as Luke Burkhardt rushed for three of the Bruins 10 touchdowns.

But Barlow's defense allowed the Raiders to linger. Even after Raiders' quarterback Josh Schleining left the game in the third quarter with an injury, backup Salvador Orozco made it a one-possession game early in the fourth quarter.

Barlow came up with a critical goal line stop near the end of the fourth to maintain a two-possession lead, which eventually became a 69-41 win...
