One killed, one wounded in Monday night shootings
Gang Enforcement Team investigating separate incidents
One man was killed and another man was wounded in two Monday night shootings.
Portland police say a man was shot and killed in a home in the 6200 block of Northeast 42nd Avenue at around 8:42 p.m. The victim's name was not released.
About an hour later, a man suffering from a gunshot wound walked into an area hospital. Police believe he was shot in the 100 block of Northeast 102nd Avenue.
According to police, Brandon Rogers,23, was shot once in the abdomen. He was stabilized and transported to a trauma hospital where he immediately underwent surgery. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
As officers began the investigation into Roger's shooting, the witnesses were very uncooperative.
The city's Gang Enforcement Team is investigating both shootings. Police have not said the two shootings were linked.
