Keep in touch
To the Editor,
It is with my most sincere gratitude that I write this letter to those in Oregon House District 59 who voted for me during the November election. The fact that you have placed your trust in me is something I truly appreciate, and I look forward to representing District 59 in the upcoming legislative session.
I look forward to making sure the needs of the people of District 59 are acknowledged during what could be one of the most challenging legislative sessions in Oregon history. The state is facing an extremely tough budgetary crisis and it is imperative everyone come together to decide what are the most important needs of Oregonians. The voices of those who call District 59 home should not be lost in the roar in Salem, and I will do my best to make sure that does not happen.
During the campaign I heard some distinct messages being repeated over and over again and I look forward to repeating them to my colleagues in the legislature. I will push for more education and land use decisions to be made on the local level, and I will strongly encourage state agencies to work in partnership with producers, rather than create obstacles as they struggle to survive in today's economy.
I strongly encourage each and every resident of District 59 to keep in touch with me during the legislative session. I want and need to hear your views. Those who wish can contact me at the following addresses:
Rep. John Dallum
900 Court St. NE
Salem, OR 97301
Mailing Address: 1900 W. 13th St.
The Dalles, OR 97058
Again, to the voters of District 59, I thank you for your confidence in me.
Rep. John Dallum
