> U.S. Sen. Ron. Wyden will host town hall meetings in Jefferson and Crook counties next Wednesday, Jan. 12. Wheeler County residents are invited to a meeting in Fossil on Saturday, Jan. 8.
Residents of each of the counties are invited to attend the open forums to voice their questions and concerns.
The Jefferson County meeting will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fire Hall, 765 S.E. Adams Drive, Madras.
In Crook County, the meeting will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Crook County Meeting Room at 320 N.E. Court St., in Prineville.
The Wheeler County meeting will be held from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in the Family Services Building, 401 Fourth St., Fossil.
In Wyden's 1996 U.S. Senate campaign, he promised to hold a town hall meeting in every Oregon county each year; since being elected, he has held almost 350 town hall meetings.
