Man arrested after wreck


   A Madras man was arrested for drunk driving and other charges following a wreck in which four people were injured.
   Jan. 13, at 6:47 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a single motor vehicle crash 17 miles east of Madras on Haycreek Road.
   Multiple injuries were reported. One victim was transported by Airlife helicopter from the scene and three other subjects were transported to Mtn. View Hospital via Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services.
   Upon arrival at Mtn. View Hospital, another victim was transported by Airlife to St. Charles Hospital in Bend.
   
   Following his release from the hospital, the driver of the 1997 GMC supercab pickup, Christopher Thomas, 35, of Madras, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, recklessly endangering and assault II. He was transported to the Jefferson County Jail, lodged and held under $50,000 bail.
