> To the Editor,
This letter concerns the people who walk their dogs at Juniper Hills Park, (or more directly, those who take their dogs to defecate at Juniper Hills Park). On any day, one can see dozens of piles on the walkways or right next to them. Responsible dog owners pick up after their animals, and do not leave disgusting messes for others to step in.
It is difficult to enjoy the wildlife and wonderful views the park offers when you have to smell and look at dog feces all around the walkways. There used to be a box with plastic bags for people to use. Since it has disappeared (probably vandalized) dog owners need to bring their own bags.
Residents in larger cities pick up after their dogs; are Jefferson County residents any less civilized?
