The 2005 Central Oregon Farm Fair will be held Feb. 2 and 3, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
Exhibitors will be in the Keeney Building next to where the meetings will be held again this year.
The schedule for the educational programs each of the two days will be from 10 a.m. to noon, and 2 to 4 p.m. This will allow time with exhibitors. Local sponsors will provide lunch and refreshments.
Topics will include current agricultural issues and information on grass seed, vegetable seed, and peppermint production.
In addition, we have a session on city of Madras land use planning and land use issues affecting Jefferson County.
We expect to have four hours of recertification credit classes for pesticide applicator and CCA credit for fieldmen.
The Central Oregon Farm Fair and Trade Show is always a welcome social event and a great opportunity to get updated on issues affecting agriculture, and to hear research reports on crops grown in Central Oregon.
Oregon State University Extension sponsors the event in cooperation with the Jefferson County Seed Growers and Central Oregon Peppermint Growers.
