Jensen survives plane crash

Paul Jensen, 61, of Madras survived the crash-landing of his plane Feb. 4, and was able to walk two miles for help.
Jensen had been traveling from Walla Walla, Wash. to Redmond when his Cessna plane ran out of fuel and crashed some four miles northeast of the Redmond Airport, according to the Crook County Sheriff's Office.
Jensen then walked out to Highway 126 to meet a friend he had called following the afternoon crash. The friend took him to St. Charles Medical Center-Redmond, where he was treated and released.
Sheriff's deputies and search and rescue teams from Crook and Deschutes counties located the downed aircraft just before 5:30 p.m., three hours after the accident.
