Two arrested for home invasion robbery

Suspects broke into home and demanded marijuana

Portland police have arrested two men in connection with a Tuesday evening home invasion robbery in North Portland.

Derek R. Lukovich, 47, is charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, Robbery in the Second Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, Attempted Kidnap in the Second Degree, a County Hold and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is being held on $90,000 bail at the Multnomah County Detention Center.

Jeremiah Paul Rountree, 36, is charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, Robbery in the Second Degree, Assault in the Second Degree and Attempted Kidnap in the Second Degree. Rounbtree is being held on $85,000 bail at the Multnomah County Detention Center.

According to police, at 7:31 p.m. on Oct. 11, North Precinct officers responded to a report of an armed residential robbery in the 3800 block of North Vancouver. After the officer arrived, they found a man and woman who had both been assaulted in the course of the robbery. They suffered non-life threatening injuries and were not transported to the hospital.

Police say the suspects forced their way into the residence and demanded marijuana. They were wearing masks and armed with handguns.

The officers began searching for the suspect in the area. Both were found and arrested.
