The Towne Pump gas station has reopened after a three-week closure to install new pumps.
According to Russ Sternberg, of Junction City, general contractor for the Truax Corporation, of Corvallis, which owns Towne Pump, the four new pumps will each offer three grades of gasoline, and enable customers to use credit cards at the pump.
"It should speed it up" for motorists, Sternberg noted.
The station now has the ability to mix gasoline, with newly installed blenders. "It gives us more storage," he said. "We only need two products; we mix the two together to get a mixed grade product."
Towne Pump has been open at its current location since 1992.
