Tigard, Tualatin girls pick up league soccer victories
As they head into their meeting next week, the Tigard and Tualatin high school girls soccer teams both picked up victories on Tuesday.
Tigard scored a 2-0 win at Forest Grove on Tuesday. The victory gives the Tigers a 6-2-2 record in Pacific Conference play, putting Tigard in third place in the league standings.
Tualatin remained unbeaten, and unscored upon, for the season by notching a 6-0 home win over McMinnville. With the victory, the first-place Timberwolves, who won 6-0 at Newberg last Thursday, improved to 10-0 in Pacific Conference contests.
Tigard and Tualatin will meet Tuesday in a match set to start at 7 p.m. at Tigard High School. The Wolves won the teams' first meeting, 2-0, in a match played Sept. 20 at Tualatin High School.
