League coming for CHS soccer

The nonleague season is almost over for Culver soccer.
The Bulldogs have just one more match before starting Special District 5 play Saturday by hosting Irrigon. Before that, the Bulldogs finish nonleague action by facing the Mountain View II junior varsity today.
Culver defeated the Sisters JV 3-2 on Thursday. The Bulldogs also played at Grant Union in John Day on Monday, results unreported.
Travis Beebe led the offense against Sister with two goals and an assist.
"Travis did a great job of finishing," Kirk said. "He had a foot in each of our goals."
It started with a Beebe pass to Victor Terrazas for a goal in the 12th minute. Sisters tied the match just before halftime.
Beebe scored his first goal in the 45th minute with Sisters responding two minutes later. Culver regained the lead on Beebe's goal in the 60th minute.
Kirk praised the play of "the three Juans" as he called his backline defenders (Gutierrez, Terrazas and Espindola).
