Aguilar, Siebert finalist for book awards

Two local authors have been named finalists for the 2006 Oregon Book Awards. Winners will be announced Dec. 1, at the annual Oregon Book Awards ceremony in Portland.
   George Aguilar Sr., of Warm Springs, is one of three finalists for the Sarah Winnemucca Award for Creative Nonfiction. His book "When the River Ran Wild!" is a personal account of Indian traditions on the mid-Columbia River and Warm Springs Reservation.
   Culver author and poet Diane Siebert is a finalist for the Eloise Jarvis McGraw Award for Children's Literature for her new children's book "Tour America."
   The Oregon Book Awards are sponsored by the Oregon Cultural Trust.
